On 19th October, Teerthanker Mahaveer University’s College of Computing Sciences & Informat

The annual cultural event of CCSIT, IGNITE was diligently organized. There was a soul to it. A soul that was vibrant, contagious and exuberant.

At the entrance of the building of auditorioum, there were huge posters denoting the “Student’s Cultural Festival – 7th May 2018”.
The fest was declared open by the lightening of the Ceremonial lamp by the Hon’ble Guest of Honour Mrs Vishali Dhingra and Respected Principal Sir including all the faculties. Students presented blossoming bouquets to the dignitaries.

The events of the day-long programme included music, recitation, dance and chorus.

The performances was declared open with a group dance by Bhangra Girls. Then came a tribute to the legendary singer Mr AR Rehman by Mokshi Jain followed by a retro mashup by Nabeel and Hassan who got the ‘best duet singing’ prize. They are real talent. Then came dance performances by Glitters Girls, Leepika and DNA band. A poem based on Social Harrasment and Inhumanity was beautifully presented by Shivangi and Nirupama and Shivangi walked away with the ‘Best Standup Act’ prize. The dance performane by 90s Kids’ was a tribute to the glorious Indian Cinema. The event was followed by scintillating presentantions by Aaditya Bansal, Mayank & Rohit, Raghav Sikka, Prathista, Shivering Boys, Shivam Srivastav, Thunder Girls and Little Girls dance group.

Results were eventually announced by the jury members and the winners were blessed by our dynamic Principal sir.

The ‘Best Solo Sing’ was given to Abhinav Saxena and next to him stood Manisha. The ‘Best Group Song’ was given away to Shivering Boys. The ‘Best Solo Dance’ was awarded to Aayushi Jain. The second and third place for the same was obtained by Leepika and Raghav. The Forster Group walked away with the ‘Best Duet Dance’. The rank holders for the ‘Best Group Dance’ were Team Heroes, Ben and Group, and Punjabi Group Dance. Winning teams of Tug-of-War and Volleyball were awarded with medals and the Player of the Tournament was crowned to Vishal Choudhry. Besides awards for these performances, Principal’s Excellence Award was presented to the toppers of their respective fields with the sole motive to encourage all the students to give their best.
And this way, a beautiful interaction reached its logical conclusion.
