On 19th October, Teerthanker Mahaveer University’s College of Computing Sciences & Informat

College of computing sciences and information technology MHRD’s Innovation cell organized “India First Leadership Talk Series”, episode-1 on 16th September 2018. Shri Anand Mahindra, Chairman Mahindra Group was the speaker in this episode.


The event was attended by 10+ faculties. Speaker provides brief insight into his life and different challenges that he had to face, and how he overcome those challenges. Participants listen to the speaker with curiosity despite of streaming errors from the broadcaster side. Speaker tells the importance of planning both in life and career. Speaker emphasizes on the creation of research environment both in academics and cooperates because only it can promote innovation and generation of new ideas. Most of the ideas are dead at their infant stage as there is no infrastructure for supporting them. We should promote the ideas that are commercially viable or solve the problems faced by society in general.


For promoting innovation in different domains, there must be infrastructure that support the innovator both financially and technically. Speaker says all stake holders like government, public sector and private sector companies and Universities should come together as it’s the need of hour to create research and innovation environment in the country.  Finally, he says if any student has innovative idea and zeal for implanting it, Mahindra group is ready to support that endeavor.

At the end of session, Dr. Rakesh Kumar Dwivedi, principal,CCSIT, TMU asks the faculty members present in the session to motivate the students to create software projects that not only fulfill their course requirement but also help in solving the problems of society. He told the faculty members about various steps taken both at university and college level to promote research and innovation.
