8th March, International Women’s Day is a global day celebrating the social, economic, cultural and political achievements of women. The day also marks a call to action for accelerating gender parity. It’s only a woman who can wear so many hats at the same time and juggle between them on a daily basis. It is their inner emotional strength that makes them successful achievers in their personal, social and professional lives. The ability to find a balance between home, family, friends, and work makes them the irreplaceable pillars of our society.
On the occasion of Women’s Day, a symposium was organized on 9th March 2017, in CCSIT under the banner of IEEE Women’s Wing and WEC committee, CCSIT. The competition started by the lamp lighting ceremony, by District Program officer Dr Anupama Shandilya Principal, Convener of Moradabad Mrs Priya Agarwal, Former IMA president Dr.Babita Gupta, HOD in Hindu college in psychologist Dept. Dr.Meenu Mehrotra, Educational & Counsellor at Women upliftment cell, Moradabad Dr Sugandha Agarwal Prof. R.K. Dwivedi, H.O.D. Computer Science Department, Dr A.K. Saxena, and Coordinator, WEC CCSIT, Mrs Ranjana Sharma. A number of students took part in the competition and expressed their views on the topics such as safety of women in the society, the role of women in shaping the society, education of the girl child. Prof. R.K. Dwivedi, convey his wishes on this occasion to all the female faculty and non-faculty, members as well as the students. all women staff and students of CCSIT were present for the program.
