To take a walk down the corridors of nostalgia, alumni Meet, The Golden Moments, was inaugurated in the department by the Honorable Vice-Chancellor on 23rd of November 2014 morning at 11.00 a.m. The meet started traditionally with the lighting of lamp by the chief guest Honorable Vice-Chancellor , Proff. K.K.Pandey,Director-International Affairs and Mr.Ajay Garg ,Director Hospital Administration followed by the recital song “saraswati vandana” by first year students viz. Sonia and Nalini. The occasion was graced by more than 15 alumni across various batches from various parts of the country and four distinguished guests from corporate hospitals. Speaking on the occasion, the Vice-Chancellor underlined and praised the achievements of Alumni of Hospital Administration Department in all walks of life. He felt that it was a matter of great pride for the university that its Alumni are holding positions of responsibility in various Government organizations, NGO’s, private sector and academic Institutions. He praised their contribution towards the growth of their Alma Mater and emphasized the need for further strengthening the linkage between the Alumni and Hospital Administration Department and current students.

The Inaugural session was also attended by Mr.Firasat Ali Zaidi-Assistant Professor, Mr.Shashank Mishra-Assistant Professor, Dr.Siddarth Singh-Lecturer and Mr.Khursheed Ahmad Bhat, Coordinator-Department of Hospial Administration. Mr. Mr.Khursheed Ahmad Bhat, co-ordiantor of the department highlighted the achievements of alumni and called for greater alumni participation. He spoke to the alumni. He told them that they are the valued ambassadors of the departmentI and they should continue their association with the department. He mentioned about the future plans of the department-.He expressed his happiness to see the Alumni attending the program.

Mr.Shashank Mishra, Assistant Professor at the department welcomed the alumni and appreciated their zeal to assemble despite their busy schedule. Proff. Firasat Ali Zaidi presented a report on the activities undertaken by the department since its beginning including seminars, guest lectures, hospital visits, research projects and plans for the collaboration with corporate houses for training and placements. The gathering was also addressed by all the alumni who shared their challenges and experience with the students of current batch .The vote of the thanks was given by Dr.Siddarth Singh.

The Inaugural session was followed by cultural programme by the students and alumni. Great bonhomie was observed everywhere with old students reliving their old memories with their batch mates, seniors and juniors. Many of the current students were also seen interacting with their pass out seniors and learning from their familiarity with the profession. In all, the ambience was electric with people seen chatting and dancing in group

The key highlight was the panel discussion between alumni and professors at the department. Many a number of commendable suggestions and proposals came up at the discussion which was taken into consideration for later action. It was decided to strengthen the link between the current students and alumni for their support to current students in the area of training, placement and career counseling. The Meet ended with promise to meet again and everyone bid emotional farewell to each other and their beloved department.
