Report on Live Webcast: The launch event of ‘Drug-Free India’ by the Art of Living

Being encouraged by AICTE, Faculty of Engineering (TMU) got the opportunity to be the part of the launch event of ‘Drug-Free India’ campaign via live webcast on February 19, 2019.The launch initiated by The Art of Living was webcasted LIVE across India in presence of world-renowned humanitarian Gurudev Sri Ravishankar Ji along with Hon’ble Chief Minister of Haryana, government officials, Bollywood celebrities, and dignitaries at Guru Jambheshwar University of Science and Technology, Hisar.

Joining the chain of this campaign, Faculty of Engineering (TMU) participated via live webcast in the university auditorium. More than 200 students of Engineering & science from different branches assembled at the venue for the event.The presence of the Director and the Principal of the college with the HoDs, coordinators, faculty members of their respective departments graced the event by sharing their precious thoughts and enlightened the path of the students while sharing real-life examples.

Via live webcast, the campaign was started with lamp lightening in the presence of all honorable dignitaries. The world-renowned humanitarian Gurudev Sri Ravishankar Ji endowed his blessings to the young generation and made them aware of ‘Drug-Free India’ campaign. He launched this campaign with the oath-taking ceremony to make India free from drugs: ‘Drugs Na karnge na karne denge’. Bollywood celebrities Mr Varun Sharma and Ms Hina Parikh through their energetic charisma added zeal in the heart of youth

On-Screen appearance of the Hon’ble Prime Minister Mr Narendra Modi during the live Webcast, boosted the spirits of the students and his speech filled the whole environment with enthusiasm. The Prime Minister Mr Narendra Modi appeared as bacon light and navigated the event as a guide to drive the vision of Drug-Free India.

Till the end of the event, the students became very much motivated to fight against drugs and repeated the slogan of the day to make India free from the drug ‘Drugs Na karnge na karne denge’.
