MOVIE MANTRA- MANAGEMENT LESSONS FROM MOVIES
on
April 26, 2011
Movies reflect our conscious or sub conscious thoughts. For
instance, you could visit a world where humans are super advanced and live in
technological utopia. Or how about a world where everything is made of candy?
Movies take you to places really exciting, or to see
something you have never seen before. You may find uninhabited planets with
brilliant blue skies and green oceans. Or maybe a world where dinosaurs evolved
into smaller intelligent creatures with big brains. Whatever you find, explore
these alternate worlds with a playful attitude in mind, and you will discover a
lot about the power of your own stunning imagination...
There is so much to learn from the movies- this was the
essence of “MOVIE MANTRA”- one of its own kind contest organized at CMCA
on 26th April, 2012.
The contest resulted in a tie between the first two
contestants. Mr. Ram Pratap Singh of MBA II Sem stood first along with a team of
undergraduate students (BCA VI Sem) comprising of Rachit, Sanchit and Prashant.
Monis Khan of MBA II Semester stood second in the contest
and Kshritij of B.Com III Year bagged the third prize. The teams came up with
brilliant movies and tried to extract their essence in the form of management
lessons they learnt from them.
Vaishali Dhingra, Faculty Incharge, CMCA was the brain
child and organizer of the event in which 15 shortlisted teams belonging to
various courses of the college participated.
Hon’ble Registrar Prof. R.K. Mudgal did the honor by
inaugurating the event. He beautifully depicted the difference between the
homonyms- ‘Reel life’ and ‘Real life’.
Dr. Vipin Jain, Additional Director, CMCA, gave away the
accolades and inspired the students to come up in different spheres of life by
not only becoming good professionals but also good human beings.
Dr Vipin Jain, Ms Vaishali Dhingra and Dr Alka Agarwal were
the judges of the event.
The
student volunteers organized the event with great zeal. The team comprised of
Ram Pratap Singh, Rachit Jain, Devna Jain, Mansi, Shobhit, Yogendra, Puneet,
Deepak and Vikram.
