Teerthanker Mahaveer College of Paramedical
Sciences
Paramedical Science is an inseparable part of the health care system and runs parallel to medical science in the
diagnosis and treatment of diseases. Diagnostic tools like the clinical laboratory, the x-ray, the ultra sound, CT and
other invasive or non-invasive methods and therapeutic technical modes like physiotherapy, occupational therapy
and speech therapy are parts of the paramedical system. Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce and Industry
(FICCI) pointed out that in case of paramedics acute shortage is likely to emerge in case of radiographics, ECG
technicians, OT technicians, audiomotorists etc. The Prime Minister's Council on trade and industry reported that Xray
technicians required by 2015 would be 12,410 and number of lab technicians required would be 62,050. We
resolve to meet the requirement in the field of Paramedical Sciences.
