A two day National Seminar cum Workshop was organized in University Polytechnic (TMU), on April 12-13, 2014 to focus on “Role of English Language and Literature for promoting Education in the present scenario”. The colloquium in which 93 delegates from different institutions participated, was held in the university auditorium. The workshop session of the event focused on “Primitivism in the Classroom with the use of Technology”.

The Inaugural session started with inspirational speech by the Hon’ble Vice Chancellor who called upon the teaching fraternity to understand role of language in enrichment of literature. While extending a warm welcome to the distinguished guests and delegate, Prof. T. P. Agrawal, Principal University polytechnic elaborated the importance of English language in promotion of Education. Keynote speaker Prof. D. R. Purohit, Prof. & Head HNBG University, Srinagar made an imposing speech on significance of English language in promoting Education in the present scenario. Dr. Shravan Kumar, Resource Person and Chapter Head ELTAI- Greater Noida, advocated the importance of conducting workshop and “Primitivism in the Classroom with the use of Technology”. It was followed by paper presentation session chaired by Prof. P. K. Jain.

The second day of the seminar commenced with an address by the key note speaker Dr. Shravan Kumar. Dr. Kartikey, Organizing Secretary outlined the theme of the seminar and invited the delegates to express their series of thoughts. Dr. Mosam Sinha expressed his views and explained the way Literature can be used to teach professional communication. The event culminated into research paper presentation session chaired by Dr. Mosam Sinha and Dr. Shravan Kumar. The Seminar- cum- Workshop concluded with vote of thanks proposed by Dr. Kartikey.
