About this Programme

B.Sc.-B.Ed. (Int.) is a four-year integrated undergraduate programme offering a dual degree. The programme was started with a vision to impart in-depth knowledge of different subjects science including Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, Botany and Zoology with three broad interrelated curricular areas. The programme is designed according to UGC and NCTE guidelines to prepare qualitative future teachers for nation-building. During these four years, students complete their graduation in Science along with their graduation in Education as well. It saves one year for the students. The programme has been designed to impart theoretical knowledge and practical skills to students in different disciplines of Science and empowers them with problem-solving skills.

After completing this course, one has access to multiple job opportunities. They have access to Government jobs, Private sector jobs as well as Self-Employment. In schools, B.Sc. B.El.Ed. stands for Bachelor of Elementary Education. It is an undergraduate level bachelor’s degree programme (4 years long). Students who have completed 10+2 standard are eligible to pursue this programme. B.El.Ed. Programme focuses on topics such as – communication skills, teaching skills, human and child development, subject-wise knowledge and relevant theory classes/courses. The academic program is a holistic mixture of traditional classroom lectures and hands on practical sessions.

About this Programme

Bachelor of Education or simply B.Ed. is a 2-year bachelors degree program aimed at training students to become teachers. In order to be eligible to pursue this course, a student must have at least a bachelor’s degree from a recognized university. The course curriculum includes both core courses and pedagogy courses. B.Ed. Syllabus is formulated by NCERT and monitored by NCTE (National Council for Teacher Education).

Scope

On completing Bachelor of Education, aspirants can become teachers at the primary, secondary and senior secondary levels in schools. In order to be hired as an Assistant Professor or Professor at the college/university level, candidates need to appear for Teacher Eligibility Tests like CTET, APTET, TSTET or UGC NET. Candidates with a B.Ed degree can apply for jobs at all government and private schools in India.
