Cleanliness drive carried out by TMDC&RC Students
Teerthanker Mahaveer Dental College & Research Centre conducted a cleanliness drive on 21/01/2020, with the assistance of the student members of the NSS group of the dental college.
The drive received a tremendous response from the BDS students from the first year to the fourth year through their active participation. The students gathered the garbage found in and around the campus. Biodegradable collection bags were used in the collection process. The garbage was collected in a segmented manner to ensure that the found garbage can be disposed of well or utilized to reuse or recycle it.
Teerthanker Mahaveer University abides by the principle of reducing environmental footprint and wishes to ingrain the same in its students as they are the future of our society.
The students were told about the impact waste is creating for our world. A discussion session amongst the students allowed them to ponder over the global crisis of waste management.
After this voluntary collection and cleanliness drive, sensitization of the involved students was done so that more awareness about the issue can be spread through word-of-mouth.
