Fresher’s Party 2024: A Fun and Memorable Day

The Department of Physiotherapy hosted an amazing Fresher’s Party, "Novalia 2024," on 4th December 2024, at Riddhi Siddhi Bhawan. The event, organised by BPT 2nd-year students and led by Dr Samarpita Senapati, was a joyful celebration of talent and teamwork.

Opening Ceremony

The party started at 10:00 AM with a traditional lamp-lighting ceremony. Special guests included:

• Prof. Dr Amit Kansal (Associate Dean Academics)
• Prof. Dr Jyoti Puri (Associate Dean PhD Cell)
• Dr Satyendra Arya (Associate Professor and Coordinator Consultancy)
• Dr Shivanee M. Kaul (HOD, Department of Physiotherapy)

They were joined by faculty members like Dr Harish Sharma, Dr Nand Kishor Shah, Dr Sonam Nidhi, Dr Kamini Sharma, Dr Priya Sharma, Dr Priya Gangwar, Dr Himani, Dr Neelam Chauhan, Dr Ranjit Tiwari, Dr Muskan Jain, and Dr Samarpita Senapati. Lighting the lamp symbolised seeking blessings from Maa Saraswati and officially started the event.

A Warm Welcome and Inspiring Talks

Second-year students greeted the first years with flowers as a warm welcome. After that, the guests gave inspiring speeches. Dr Amit Kansal’s words were especially motivational, while Dr Jyoti Puri and Dr Shivanee M. Kaul shared their kind and encouraging thoughts. Dr Satyendra Arya was presented with a flower pot, and all the guests received special Novalia mementoes as tokens of appreciation.

Cultural Highlights

The cultural programme showcased incredible talents. Here are the main attractions:

• Ramp Walk: First-year students, including Aniket Jain, Bhumi Ahale, Snehil Jaiswal, Rajat, Harsh Jain, Rikita Narval, Sparsh Gupta, and others, confidently walked the ramp.

• Dance Performances: The stage came alive with exciting dance performances:
  • Muskan and Tanisha’s duet
  • Ayushi and Moksh’s couple dance
  • Paridhi, Vanshika, and Snehil’s group performance
  • Bhumi’s solo dance
  • Shubh and Avantika’s duet
  • Aryan Panchal’s collaborations with Manvi, Moksh Jain, and Rishab Jain

• Musical Acts: Beautiful songs by Mehak Tareekh, Anshika Sherawat, Nishta Jain, Sahil Jain, and others made the event even more special.
• Unique Performances: A fun “lazy dance” and performances by MPT students Akriti and Pooja added variety to the programme.

Lunch and Awards

At 2 PM, everyone enjoyed a delicious lunch together. Afterwards, the award ceremony recognised outstanding talent. Bhumi Ahale from the first year won the "Miss Fresher’s 2024" title, presented by Dr Kamini Sharma, Dr Muskan Jain, and Dr Neelam Chauhan.

A Day to Remember

The event ended with a group photo of the first-year students, followed by a lively DJ party where everyone danced and celebrated.

"Novalia 2024" was more than just a party. It was a day filled with fun, unity, and new friendships. The Department of Physiotherapy truly created memories to cherish forever.
