Innovative General Pharmacology Event Showcased at TMMC&RC under ISRPT
TMMC&RC Hosts Creative Learning Initiative, Under the aegis of the Indian Society for Rational Pharmacotherapeutics (ISRPT), the Department of Pharmacology at TMMC&RC organised a unique event on 14th November 2024. The focus was on enhancing the understanding of General Pharmacology through animated and comical strips, showcasing the creativity and technological integration by medical students.
Creative Learning through Self-Directed Modules
The initiative was part of the new Self-Directed Learning (SDL) module introduced by the National Medical Commission (NMC). Students of the CBME Batch 2022 were tasked with creating animated or comical strips to simplify complex pharmacological concepts.
The activity not only fostered creativity but also emphasised conceptual clarity, engaging both visual and cognitive faculties for better learning outcomes.
Final Round and Judging Criteria
The final round, held on 14th November 2024, was judged by a panel that included faculty members from the Department of Pharmacology and students of the CBME Batch 2022, fostering a collaborative evaluation process.
The judges assessed each presentation based on three primary criteria:
- Concept
- Content
- Understanding of the Topic

- Second Runner-Up: Manav Manchanda
All participants received certificates of participation to recognise their efforts.
