National Webinar on ‘Design Thinking’ on 12th August 2021.
The Centre for Teaching, Learning and Development, Teerthanker Mahaveer University, under the able leadership and guidance of Prof. (Dr.) R. N. Krishnia, successfully organized a webinar on the topic ‘” Design Thinking – Crafting the Human Experience”.
Director- CTLD, Prof. Krishnia in his welcome address welcomed the eminent speaker and the participants and shared his invaluable views on the topic & flagged off the event.
The eminent speaker Dr.Ajit Kar being an International Coach, Certified Design Thinking Expert delivered an exceptionally amazing & engaging webinar. He spoke about the five-step model of design thinking, along with case studies and activities, further explaining the principles of design thinking, he mentioned the applicability of design thinking is meant for designers, engineers, planners, managers, strategists, economists, teachers, and many other professions.
Further adding that the concept of design thinking began only with a few domains, but is now found to be applicable to a myriad of disciplines, ranging from medicine and aeronautics to management, operations, and human resource planning etc.
Design Thinking can help us better understand the unmet needs of the people (customers, clients, students, users etc…), reduce the risk associated with launching new ideas, products, and services. Generate solutions that are revolutionary, not just incremental.The education sector can make the best use of design thinking by taking feedback from students on their requirements, goals and challenges they are facing in the classroom. By working on their feedback, the instructors can come up with solutions to address their challenges.
Ms. Soumya Sood (Senior Trainer- Soft Skills, CTLD) played a crucial role in this event by organizing, coordinating and moderating the entire session. 300+ participants including students, faculty members and working professionals marked their presence in this exclusive webinar and went through learning and enriching experience.
