TMU Convocation 2023: Chief Minister of UP, Yogi Adityanath Ji, Graced the University as the Chief Guest
On March 17, 2023, Teerthanker Mahaveer University organised its convocation ceremony 2023 in which 5988 students of the 2020-21 and 2021-22 were awarded their degrees. The event was sparkling in the gracious presence of a distinguished chief guest Hon’ble CM of UP, Yogi Adityanath Ji, and the esteemed guest of honour Shri Suresh Kumar Khanna, Minister of Finance & Parliamentary Affairs, UP, along with Shri Bhupendra Singh Chaudhary, BJP, President, UP.
As per the tradition of the university, the event started with a lamp-lighting ceremony in front of Maa Saraswati by the esteemed chief guests. Later, Chancellor Shri Suresh Jain and GVC Shri Manish Jain welcomed the chief guest and guest of honour by presenting bouquets. During the welcome address, Prof. Raghuvir Singh, Vice Chancellor, said that Teerthanker Mahaveer University always focuses on providing holistic education to its students. The university promotes research, entrepreneurial skills and professional ethics required to succeed in an increasingly interconnected and globalised world.
Shri Suresh Jain, Chancellor of TMU, welcomed all the guests with his words of wisdom. He said that the university is a dynamic and research-intensive university committed to develop life-saving discoveries and new technologies to tackle global challenges. It has been granted various awards and recognitions, such as NAAC ‘A’ grade and 12(B) status from UGC. (University Grants Commission). Shri Bhupendra Singh Chaudhary, BJP President of Uttar Pradesh, stated that Uttar Pradesh is emerging as a favoured educational destination as it has world-class institutions.
On this glorious occasion, the Hon’ble CM of UP, Yogi Adityanath Ji, congratulated all the students and conveyed that with the efforts of these young graduates, India can become a global superpower. He emphasised the interaction of students with industry professionals. He said that research scholars should continue their research works in their respective fields. He also appreciated the efforts of TMU Hospital during times of COVID-19 as it has a dedicated team of medical professionals, making it possible for patients to receive complete care under one roof.
On this occasion, Shri Abhishek Kapoor, Director of Administration, Dr Aditya Sharma, Registrar, Prof. Manjula Jain, Dean, and Prof. M. P. Singh, Director of Students Welfare, were also present. In continuing the three days carnival, on the night of March 18, well-known poets Dr Vishnu Saxena, Aman Akshar, Hemant Pandey, Shweta Singh, Arjun Sisodia, and Sarvesh Asthana will fill the hearts of the audience in the Kavi Sammelan. On 19 March, the university is organising RockOn - VIII, the biggest music extravaganza and star night featuring Guru Randhawa and two rockstars, Afsana Khan and Saajz.
