TMU Organised a Virtual HR Conclave
Teerthanker Mahaveer University organised Virtual HR Conclave to discuss the ace of industries in a rapidly changing business environment. The assemblage of eminent and distinguished minds provided solutions to recent HR managerial challenges. In today's complex world, organisations are looking for determined and skilful candidates who are adaptive to the changing environment. Top HR practitioners are invited to TMU’s virtual HR conclave to share their expertise with the students.
Senior Human Resource professionals from reputed multinational companies such as Newgen Software Technologies LTD, Credex Technology, Cloud Analogy, Team Computers, and Mercantile Information & Telecommunication Technology Co. LLC delivered their keynote speeches and shared their knowledge with the students. The welcome address was given by Mr. Vineet Nehra, Group Director, Corporate Resource Centre, TMU.
Dr.Aditya Sharma, Registrar of the university expressed his views on the new trends in the human resource space and how HRs have the responsibility to lead the organisations. He also briefed about the alliances of the university with various institutions in the areas of curriculum development like TCS, IBM, Safe Education Express, EDU Brain Overseas, and many more, as the university is on the pathway to glory.
Prof. Raghuvir Singh, Vice-Chancellor, TMU, also conveyed how technology has helped corporate industries and educational institutions to face the challenges of COVID -19. Cloud computing is also saving time and money. He asked the keynote speakers what their measures are for selecting a candidate using remote tools and technologies.
The first keynote speaker was Mr. Amulya Sah, the CHRO of Team Computers. He addressed the topic- “ The Future of Cloud & Remote Process Automation” and defined how cloud computing is easy to connect, flexible to manage, cost-effective, and provides advanced security features. He also described the private, public, hybrid and multi-cloud models.
The second keynote speaker was Mr. Alvin David, General Manager - HRD of Newgen Software Technologies LTD. He addressed the topic- “Architecting the Future of Work Landscape”. He explained how various organisations are shifting to hybrid and remote work, project-based work and contract work etc. and these have offered new opportunities with much more flexibility. Automation and technology will be the main areas of the future.
The third keynote speaker was Mr. Sujith Kumar, Business Head & GM of Mercantile Information & Telecommunication Technology Co. LLC. He discussed the significance of cloud computing in data management and how the usage of these services allows records, contacts, pictures, documents and a whole lot more to be online. The fourth key speaker was Ms. Meenakshi Khera, GM HR, Credex Technology. She discussed the talent management trends in changing business environments and how they can affect the success of organisations.
Another speaker, Ms. Divya Dang, HR Head of Cloud Analogy, explained the topic- “Rebuilding Organizations - From Hierarchies to Networks”. She said the emergence of the network-based organizational systems from a movement away from the hierarchical systems presents its own set of challenges to Human Resource Managers (HRM) and how it encourages social learning and maximises individual motivation.
After each keynote discussion, there was a question and answer round in which the students asked their queries and the panel members gave them fruitful answers. The submission was done by Dr. R. N. Krishnia, Director, CTLD, and a vote of thanks to all the participants was given by Prof. Manjula Jain, Associate Dean-Academics.
