A Proud Moment! TMU shines with ‘A’ Grade in NAAC
Teerthanker Mahaveer University (TMU) is elated to be awarded an ‘A’ Grade by the prestigious National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NACC). The University scored a cumulative Grade Point Average (CGPA) of 3.15 on a 4-point scale in the second cycle. The timing could not have been more perfect, as currently, we have celebrated 21 years of excellence in higher education, health, and research.
The NAAC peer team visited the campus from June 15 to June 17, 2022 for a physical assessment of the ongoing curriculum and the progress of the various infrastructure development projects. The Peer team has praised the University for three major features, including Curricular Aspects, Student Support, Infrastructure & Learning Resources.
Speaking on this achievement, the Chancellor of TMU, Shri Suresh Jain, conveyed, “It is a moment of celebration, and I applaud every stakeholder of the institution, including students, faculty members, staff members, alumni, and others, for this honour would not have been possible without their contributions.” He added, “I am proud to be leading such an organisation where we work together to achieve such high standards in whatever we do.”
The University has recorded another major achievement to its credit in recent years including, The UGC recently granted 12 (B) status to TMU; TMU became the 1st recognised university in UP to offer a PhD in Nursing; TMU’s Agriculture College became an ICAR accredited institution. TMUs CCSIT college was ranked as a performer in ARIIA Ranking 2021; among others.
Euphoric over the development, Dr. (Prof.) Raghuvir Singh, the vice-chancellor, says, “The University, at every stage, has believed in self-assessment and self-evaluation intending to re-confirm the direction, thrust and momentum with which we move ahead towards achieving our Vision and Mission.” These milestones are the outcomes of our persistent efforts in successfully creating an ecosystem for teaching-learning, outcome-based education, innovation & entrepreneurship in the institute, says VC.
Students who study at a NAAC-accredited institution learn in an innovative environment and attain a degree of global recognition. They are recognised as an alumnus of a reputable university and thus are given better placement possibilities because the market likes recruiting from higher-level universities.
