Allahabad High Court Chief Justice Inspires Law Students at Teerthanker Mahaveer University
June 2, 2023 — Teerthanker Mahaveer University ,Moradabad, had the privilege of hosting a significant event as the Chief Justice of Allahabad High Court, Mr. Justice Pritinker Diwakar, delivered a captivating lecture to a gathering of 500+ students. This insightful session, initiated by TMU’s College of Law & Legal Studies ,aimed to shed light on various aspects of law as a discipline and the numerous opportunities available to law graduates.
As per the tradition of Teerthanker Mahaveer University, the event started with the lamp lighting ceremony in front of goddess Saraswati, by the chief guest and other esteemed dignitaries of the university. During the welcome address, Shri Suresh Jain, Hon’ble Chancellor, expressed his gratitude to the Chief Justice for his enlightening presence at Teerthanker Mahaveer University. He conveyed that TMU is a unique platform for students to grasp the real-world implications of legal theories, and we are honoured to have Chief Justice among us, whose insights will shape the perspectives of our aspiring legal minds.
During the session, Justice Diwakar engaged the audience with a comprehensive discussion on the diverse pathways that law graduates can pursue in India. He emphasised the significance of nurturing self-confidence, effective communication, and empathy that transcend the domain of legal practice and contribute to personal and professional growth. As a result of the lecture, students gained valuable insight into the possibilities available to them after obtaining a law degree.
The event culminated with a heartfelt felicitation of Justice Pritinker Diwakar by Shri Suresh Jain, Hon’ble Chancellor; Manish Jain, Group Vice Chairman; Dr. Manjula Jain, Dean Academics; Dr Aditya Sharma, Registrar; Prof. Harbansh Dixit, Dean; and Prof. (Dr.) Sushil Kumar, Principal, College of Law & Legal Studies. Later, the dignitaries presented a memorial and a shawl to the chief guest, symbolising his contribution to legal education.
