TMU’s Centre for Teaching, Learning, and Development (CTLD), in collaboration with the Faculty of Engineering and Computer Sciences (FOE & CCSIT), organized a 15 days Exclusive Boot Camp (Campus to Corporate Training) in August 2021 for the final year students of the various programmes such as MCA, BCA, B. Sc (CS) and B. Tech (All Streams).


This customized boot camp was designed after extensive research of the top-notch corporate companies' recruitment process and aimed at making the students "Ready to be deployed professionals" at their workplace.


During the inaugural ceremony, Mr. Vikram Raina, Assistant Director-CDC, welcomed the chief guest, Prof. (Dr.) Raghuveer Singh, Honourable Vice-Chancellor, TMU, Dr. Aditya Sharma, Registrar, Prof. (Dr.) R. N. Krishnia, Director- CTLD, Trainers from CTLD and all the participants. He expressed his sincere gratitude to the CTLD department for organizing the exclusive training program that enhances the students' employability skills and would help them qualify for the selection processes of the multiple organizations.


CTLD department is a big initiative taken by the Teerthanker Mahaveer University to refine and polish the students with the industry and domain specific skills, enhancing their confidence and employability. CTLD trainers guidance have showed stellar results in the campus recruitment drives, students feel more confident in presenting themselves and accommodate in the corporate ecosystems. Teerthanker Mahaveer University hence is a desired top private university amongst the students.


While addressing the participants, Dr. Aditya Sharma, Registrar- TMU, appreciated the efforts, commitment and enthusiasm shown by the registered participants of the boot Camp. In his thought-provoking statement, he mentioned that the students are the major stakeholders in any institution and play a crucial role in society and nation-building. The University is not made of bricks, cement or any worldly thing but the students. He congratulated the CTLD department for taking such an initiative to offer customized and industry-oriented training modules that can shape the career of the students.


The guest of Honour, Prof (Dr) Raghuvir Singh, Vice-Chancellor, TMU, delivered an interactive and enthralling talk that oriented the students towards 21st-century skills and emphasized developing the students' soft skills, which is a prerequisite in any organization. Taking his discussion further, he added that the students must equip themselves with domain-specific skills and soft skills as they complement each other.


Prof (Dr) R. N. Krishnia, Director- CTLD, apprised the chief guests that the boot camp sessions would continue for 15 days and cover extensive soft skills, Employability skills, Verbal ability, and qualitative aptitude training. Having completed the boot camp, TMU students will get themselves equipped with desired skills and shall be able to qualify the selection process of corporate companies and Government competitive examinations.


The special training delivered by CTLD trainers that covered a wide range of crucial topics resulted in an excellent response, active participation, and positive feedback. The Boot Camp was a complete package of Campus to the Corporate Program that covered important topics such as Preparing creative resume & Cover letter, Group Discussion and Personal Interview- Concept & Practice, International Business Etiquettes, Corporate Dressing, Grooming & Personal Hygiene, Public Speaking & Presentation Skills, Verbal Ability topics, Permutation & Combination, Probability, Syllogism, Seating Arrangement, Time, Speed & Distance, Arithmetic, Vedic Mathematics, etc.
