CCSIT & FOE Hosts Grand Cultural & Holi Festival "SPLASH 2025"

Teerthanker Mahaveer University’s College of Computing Sciences and Information Technology (CCSIT) and Faculty of Engineering (FOE) jointly organised the grand cultural and Holi festival, "SPLASH 2025", on March 11, 2025. The event was a spectacular celebration of art, culture, and colours, bringing together students, faculty members, and distinguished guests. The festival witnessed an outstanding display of talent, creativity, and enthusiasm, making it a memorable experience for everyone involved.

A Celebration of Talent and Creativity

The festival featured a series of cultural performances, including singing, solo and group dance, poetry recitation, e-poster designing, and rangoli-making competitions. The event also incorporated technical competitions like logo designing and videography, which added an innovative touch to the celebration. Students participated with immense zeal, making the competition intense and exciting.

After rigorous evaluation by the esteemed panel of judges, the winners were declared in various categories:

  • Group Dance: First place – Sambhav and Aditya
  • Solo Dance: Winner – Aditi Kumari
  • Poetry Recitation: Winner – Aman Jain
  • Rangoli Competition: Winner – Aryan Chauhan
  • Singing Competition: Winner – Rishabh Gola

Entrepreneurial Spirit Showcased

One of the event’s key highlights was the variety of creative stalls set up by students, reflecting their innovative ideas and entrepreneurial spirit. The food and business stalls added charm to the festival, engaging visitors with unique offerings.

  • Best Stall: “Bhookh Lagi?” featuring papdi, grilled sandwiches, and Gujrat’s famous dabeli.
  • Second Place: “Rangon Ki Mithaas” serving pani puri, bhel puri, and rissole.
  • Third Place: Shivanshu Saini’s unique mug printing concept, which was widely appreciated.

Distinguished Guests & Fair Judging Panel

The festival was graced by Prof. Rakesh Kumar Dwivedi (Dean, Faculty of Engineering) as the chief guest. The event was judged by a prestigious panel comprising Dr P.K. Shah, Dr Indu Tripathi, Dr Seema, Mr Gaurav Jaiswal, and Ms Heena Hashmi, ensuring a fair and unbiased evaluation of the competition.

Prof. R.K. Dwivedi’s motivational address encouraged students to embrace creativity and innovation, instilling a sense of confidence among the participants.

Electrifying Conclusion with DJ Night

The grand finale of "SPLASH 2025" was marked by an exhilarating DJ evening, where students danced enthusiastically, celebrating Holi with vibrant colours and joy. The electrifying music and energetic atmosphere made the event truly unforgettable.

The success of this magnificent event was attributed to the collective efforts of several individuals, including Prof. (Dr.) R.K. Dwivedi (Dean, FOE), Dr Shambhu Bhardwaj (HOD, CCSIT), Dr Rupal Gupta (Additional HOD), Mr Manish Tiwari (Assistant Registrar, Academics), Dr Pradeep Kumar (PB Board Head), and Dr Alok Ghalaut (IQAC Coordinator), whose guidance was invaluable.

Special thanks were extended to the judging panel for their fair evaluations and to the organising team, including Mr Nikhil, Mr R.P. Singh, Mr Abhishek, Mr Manoj Gupta, and their team, who played a crucial role in the smooth execution of the event. The artistic contributions of Ms. Shikha, who designed the event banners and certificates, were also recognised.

Additionally, the cultural coordinators, Ms Swati Chauhan (CCSIT) and Ms Nikita Jain (FOE) were lauded for their dedication and meticulous planning, which contributed significantly to the festival’s success.
