Expert Session: Multidisciplinary Research in Higher Education Institutions
August 26th, 2022.Teerthanker Mahaveer University (TMU) Moradabad under the aegis of IQAC, organised the first ever stimulating session of an eminent personality, Dr. Arvind Sinha, on the topic, Scope of Multidisciplinary Research in Higher Education Institutions (HEIs); on Friday.
For discussing on the topic we had an expert Dr. Arvind Sinha, who is a Chief Scientist and an Advisor Management, CSIR at National Metallurgical Laboratory, Jamshedpur. He is also a Professor of Engineering Sciences at the Academy of Scientific and Innovative Research (AcSIR). Besides, he is a chairperson of the Jharkhand state chapter at the National Academy of Science, India. He took a thought-provoking session in which he laid stress on fostering multidisciplinary research at TMU.
While explaining the scope of multidisciplinary research in higher education institutions, Dr. Arvind stated the need to equip students to tackle society's unanticipated challenges. He also remarked that an effective educator enables learners to handle multiple challenges. He concluded his presentation by stating that research has always been, is, and will continue to be an interdisciplinary approach consisting of a collaboration of arts in science.
Adding to it, the speaker, Dr. Aditya Kumar Sharma, Director, IQAC, TMU stated that multidisciplinary research opens new avenues for students and faculty members. With strong research skills, the identification of problems and locating a solution becomes effortless, thus fostering an innovation ecosystem.
Later, he acknowledged everyone for their support. Senior faculties and research scholars of various departments and colleges of the University attended this enriching session.

He coached the wrestling team of India that won 16 medals at the U20 World Championship. His team received appreciation from the honourable Prime Minister of India, Shri Narendra Modi.
