Industrial Visit CCS&IT students’ visit to the BSNL office
April 1, 2023. As a part of the industrial visit, TMU’s CCS&IT students visited the Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited (BSNL) office in Moradabad. The visit provided an exceptional opportunity for students to gain practical knowledge. Additionally, students understood the functioning of various telecom equipment and networks. It was an enriching experience.
About BSNL Visit
During the visit, the BSNL staff warmly welcomed the students. The staff shared valuable insights into the tower, antenna section, and signal communication. The students analysed and understood GSM architecture and FTTH services under their lecturers’ guidance. Engaging in interactive discussions, students could ask questions and delve deeper into the concepts.
The visit also included a visit to the server room. Here, the students gained hands-on experience. Besides, students get a comprehensive understanding of essential components, such as EIR, fiber home, VLAN, and BNG. They witnessed firsthand how signals are received, transmitted, and processed step by step.
Learning from BSNL engineers
The engineers at BSNL shared their expertise, enlightening the students about the working principles of different telecom equipment, including both wired and wireless networks.
The industrial visit to the BSNL office proved to be an enriching experience for CCS&IT students. This enabled them to bridge the gap between theory and practice.

Witnessing the practical applications of telecom equipment and networks helped them grasp the industry’s intricacies.
