International Women's Day Celebration at TMU Moradabad

“International Women's Day is a global celebration dedicated to honoring the achievements and contributions of women throughout history and across the world. This year, Teerthanker Mahaveer University, one of the best universities in India, took a remarkable step to commemorate this day with a special event aimed at empowering and educating village women. The event was organized by the College of Computing Sciences and Information Technology (CCSIT).”

Objectives and Goals

The primary objective of this event was to celebrate International Women's Day by organizing an awareness and counseling session for village women. The initiative aimed to empower women by providing them with valuable information and motivation, thereby fostering a sense of self-worth and independence.

Visit to Purv Madhyamik Vidhyalay Rasulpur Hamir

A team comprising Prof. Ashendra Kr. Saxena, Vice Principal of CCSIT, along with female faculty members and students of B.Sc (Hons.) CS and B.Sc Animation, visited Purv Madhyamik Vidhyalay Rasulpur Hamir in Kundarki. This visit was aimed at engaging with the local community and spreading the message of women's empowerment.

Engagement Activities

The students of B.Sc. Animation performed a captivating "Nukkad Natak" (street play) that highlighted various social issues related to women's rights and empowerment. Additionally, the students of B.Sc. (Hons.) CS performed a skit on the theme "Beti Bachao Beti Padhao" (Save the Daughter, Educate the Daughter), which delivered a powerful message to the village girls about the importance of education and self-reliance.

Visit to Purv Madhyamik Vidhyalay Lalwara

Following the activities at Rasulpur Hamir, the CCSIT team visited Purv Madhyamik Vidhyalay Lalwara. Here, the head of the school, Mrs. Zunaida, and teacher Mrs. Nidhi Saxena, delivered speeches on women's empowerment. The CCSIT faculty members shared their own success stories and provided inspirational messages to motivate the students.

Quiz Session

Dr. Neeraj Kumari conducted an interactive quiz session with the students, asking questions related to women's rights and empowerment. This activity not only engaged the students but also provided them with valuable knowledge. Small gifts were given as rewards to encourage participation and make the session enjoyable.
