JAZBAA Club Inauguration at Teerthanker Mahaveer University

Teerthanker Mahaveer University witnessed a momentous occasion on 29th of September 2023 as the Department of Electronics & Communication Engineering of the College of Computing Sciences & IT, one of the best CS/IT colleges in India,  proudly inaugurated the JAZBAA CLUB. This event took place in LT4, with Prof(Dr) Rakesh Kumar Dwivedi, the Director of the Faculty of Engineering, providing guidance and support.

Event Details

The Inaugural Ceremony commenced hosting a multitude of students, faculty, and esteemed guests at the university premises. The ceremony marked the establishment of the JAZBAA CLUB, a platform designed to foster academic and extracurricular activities. The club's offerings include seminars, workshops, quizzes, trips, and festival celebrations, all aimed at contributing to the holistic development of students.

Purpose of the Event

The JAZBAA Club, beyond its inaugural function, is set to become a hub for various engaging activities, providing students with opportunities for growth and skill enhancement. The inaugural session was graced with a ceremonial ribbon cutting and traditional lamp lighting ceremony in the presence of Goddess Maa Saraswati. Key figures, including Dr. Pankaj Goswami, Dr. Vipin Kumar, Dr. Rahul Sharma, Dr. Alka Verma, Mr. Prashant Kumar, and Mr. Neeraj Kaushik, along with students, actively participated in these rituals.

Guests of Honour

Distinguished guests, including Dr. Zareen Farooq, Prof S.P. Pandey, Dr. Ajay Upadhay, Dr. Subhendra Pratap, Dr. Diwaker Pathak, and Ms. Nikita Jain, added prestige to the event. Dr. Alka Verma, the Coordinator of the JAZBAA Club, elucidated the club's composition, and its future activities, and motivated students with a career-focused video. The event hosted esteemed Guests of Honour and was skillfully anchored by student coordinator Khushboo, supported by Lalit, Navneet, Vivek, Deepanshu, Anchal, and Manoj.

Key Highlights of the Event

Mrs. Ashi Rastogi, an accomplished professional at Bhabha Atomic Research Centre and a successful entrepreneur, delivered an insightful online Alumni Talk, sharing valuable experiences and perspectives with the attending audience.

 

The inauguration centred around the theme Inauguration of the Jazbaa Club, encompassing various engaging activities and discussions. One of the highlights of the event was a Technical Quiz, conducted as a pen-paper activity. Abhishek from the First Year emerged as the winner, while four students from EC 3rd year secured the runners-up position.

The outcome of the event

Dr. Rahul Sharma, the Head of the Department of Electronics & Communication Engineering, delivered a vote of thanks, encouraging students to actively participate in such enriching activities. The event was graced by the presence of distinguished faculty members, further emphasising its significance.
