LA FIESTA Fresher Party at College of Education Welcomes New Students with Enthusiasm
On 27th April 2023, the Faculty of Education, Teerthanker Mahaveer University organised "LA FIESTA" - a Fresher Party for the batch of 2022 by the batch of 2021 students of the B.A. B.Ed programme. The chief guests of this event were Dr Manju Singh, Vice Principal of Aryan International School, Buddhi Vihar, Moradabad, distinguished guests Prof. M.P. Singh, Director of Student Welfare and Prof. Rashmi Mehrotra, Principal of the Faculty of Education, Teerthanker Mahaveer University.
As per the tradition of the university, the event started with a lamp-lighting ceremony in front of Maa Saraswati by the esteemed chief guests. The opening speech by the college principal, Prof. Rashmi Mehrotra, encouraged the freshers to make the most of their time at the institution. She highlighted the importance of academic excellence, personal growth, and community engagement during their tenure at the college. Further, students showcased their talents through various cultural performances during the program. They presented a wide range of creative exhibitions, displaying their ideation and skills.
In the first round, the batch of 2021 students introduced themselves and performed ramp walks for the batch of 2022 students. The students who presented their introduction and ramp walks effectively proceeded to the second round. In contrast, those who reached the second round underwent a mental aptitude test to assess their suitability. The victorious students from the aptitude test advanced to the next round, where a task competition was organised. In the final round, 9 students participated and the following were selected:

- Miss Fresher - Samridhi Singh
- Miss Gorgeous - Navodita Vishth
- Funky Fresher - Joya Khan
- Fresher of the Manor - Gauri Bhardwaj
- Mr Elegant - Shashank
Professor M.P. Singh, Director of Student Welfare, addressed the students during the event. He congratulated the new students and emphasised the importance of choosing the right path, proper guidance, and hard work to achieve their goals in life. In his address, the chief guest highlighted the grandeur and maturity of the event and mentioned that teachers are the mirror of society and play a pivotal role as guardians.
Speaking at the event, Dr Vinod Jain also extended his best wishes to the students for a bright future and said that the future will be determined by what you do today and motivated everyone to preserve their present. Later, Dr Ashok Kumar Lakhera expressed gratitude to all the attending guests. The event was conducted by Kanak Kataria, Khushi Yadav, Shrecha Gautam, and Punith Yadav. The program was attended by Assistant Secretary Deepak Malik, Dr Ravi Prakash Singh, Dr Shefali Jain, Mrs Poonam Chauhan, Dr Mukta Gupta, Mr Mahesh Kumar, Mr Nitin Kansal, Dr Sugandha Jain, Ms Ruby Sharma, Mr Omvir Singh, and all the students of the college.
With the fresher party marking the beginning of an exciting chapter, the Faculty of Education is compelled to provide a nurturing and engaging environment for all its students. As the new academic year progresses, the institution aims to continue promoting a culture of inclusivity, learning, and personal growth.
