“Leadership Talk Series” a new initiative by TMU

December 14, 2022. To make the students know more about the evolution of market trends and industry, Teerthanker Mahaveer University, started with the idea of the Leadership Talk Series. The event began with the lamp lightning ceremony by the chief guest Dr. Shounak Roy Choudhary, Founder of Banyan Edu Services, Professor Raghuvir Singh, Vice Chancellor of TMU, Dr. Aditya Sharma, Registrar, TMU, and Dr. Manjula Jain, Dean Academics. Apart from these other dignitaries such as Prof. Dr. Vipin Jain, Principal of TMIMT College of Management, Dr. R.N Krishnia, Director of CTLD, and Prof. Navneet Kumar, Vice Principal of College of Paramedical Sciences along with other faculty members were also part of this event.

The event was hosted by Ms. Neha Anand, Assistant Director of Academics following the inaugural address presented by Dr. Manjula Jain, Dean Academics. Adding more to it she mentioned the objectives and outcomes of this series. The aim of this initiative is to bridge the gap between classroom learning and the floor reality of the business world. In her address, she also explained the role of inviting industry professionals, instructional luminaries, and entrepreneurs to percentage their substantial array of hard-won experiences. Sharing some of her experiences she mentioned the importance of this series which will build a path for the students to have thought-provoking ideas. Explaining more about the significance of entrepreneurship among budding professionals Dr. Aditya Sharma, Registrar, TMU mentioned over the past decade our country has consolidated as a very good market for the start-up ecosystem. Focusing on more market-based opportunities Teerthanker Mahaveer University is offering a platform where our students can bring their business ideas into reality. On that, he shared how the government and other platforms are supporting this ecosystem of entrepreneurship. He also shared how different trends that are emerging in the market can help to expand the network of business start-ups in India. Congratulating the initiative, Professor Raghuvir Singh, Vice Chancellor of TMU explained the role of leadership and why it is the foremost important thing for our students. As Teerthanker Mahaveer University with the Leadership Talk Series not only focuses on providing insight into the real professional world but also teaches the roles that are being played in different sectors. Adding to this he explained the role of modern leaders and how they can build innovative scenarios in any field or sector. He also shared how students can learn from other’s experiences and with their observation skills. With this, he threw light on how one can build their knowledge and skill sets. Concluding his words, he emphasized when it comes to becoming a real-life entrepreneur it is important to focus on 3 important things result, culture, and people as key assets of any start-up.

Starting the session with some interesting experiences chief guest Dr. Shounak Roy Choudhary, Founder of Banyan Edu Services shared his journey of becoming an entrepreneur. In the session, he shared his life experiences which turns out to be a lesson for him in present. Adding to this through his presentation he explained the idea of the cause of success to the students. Adding more to it he explained about the power of dominant logic and how it works in the real market world. In a nutshell, he explained the whole idea of entrepreneurship with a roadmap. The session was motivating as he interacted with the students and shared his experiences which will eventually help students to learn more. Giving conclusion Neeraj Mittal, Manager of the Business Incubation Centre, TMU shared about different opportunities that BIC is providing to the students of Teerthanker Mahaveer University. In his presentation, he shared the statistics which can help students to make their business idea productive. The session concluded with a vote of thanks by Prof. (Dr.) Geetanshu Dawar, Convener TMU-IIC. She thanked all the people whose efforts made this event possible.

Teerthanker Mahaveer University, Moradabad with this Leadership Talk Series built a productive relationship between academia and industry which will provide students an opportunity to gain crucial insight into market trends, and operational challenges by learning from the industry pioneers themselves.
