Pharmabiz 2025: TMU Organises 8th Edition of Pharmacology Quiz Under ISRPT
The Department of Pharmacology at Teerthanker Mahaveer Medical College & Research Centre (TMMC&RC), under the aegis of the Indian Society of Rational Pharmacotherapeutics (ISRPT), successfully conducted the eighth edition of Pharmabiz – Quiz of Pharmacology on 10th July 2025, exclusively for the MBBS Batch 2023-24.
Preliminary Round and Shortlisting
The event commenced with a preliminary round held on 3rd July 2025, where MBBS students were provided with four sets of 50 MCQs each. Based on performance, two top scorers from each set were shortlisted, forming four teams with a total of eight finalists.
Teams and Quiz Format
The selected participants were randomly grouped into four teams:
- Team Adrenaline – Deepakshi & Ivashi
- Team Bradykinin – Kirteeka & Sneha
- Team Calcitonin – Saksham Yadav & Niharika Mishra
- Team Dopamine – Vishwas Tiwari & Charvi
The final quiz comprised five dynamic rounds assessing conceptual clarity, identification skills, clinical knowledge, and pharmacological mechanisms:
Round 1: Kuch To Bolo
Objective MCQs – No passing or negative marking.
Team Score Advantage: Accurate and quick MCQ response.
Round 2: Pehchaan Kaun
Guess-the-drug through clues with increasing hints and decreasing points.
Team Calcitonin was eliminated post this round.
Round 3: Kar Bhala To Ho Bura
Adverse Drug Reaction visual case analysis. Teams had to answer both parts of each question to score.
Round 4: Kya Kare Kya Na Kare
Mechanism of action round using image-based prompts.
Team Adrenaline was eliminated after this round.
Final Round: Total Dhamaal
A thrilling, rapid-fire round of 2 minutes with 20 questions.
Team Dopamine (Vishwas Tiwari & Charvi) claimed first place, while Team Bradykinin (Kirteeka & Sneha) finished as runners-up.
