Session on Career Opportunities: Global Exposure To Students With Dual Degree Programme
On April 11, 2023, Teerthanker Mahaveer University and Westford Education Group jointly organised an enlightening session on Career Opportunities in Business Management: A Global Perspective. The resource person at the session was Dr Bahrullah Safi, Vice President of International Research and Enterprise, Acacia University, Arizona, USA. He briefed various career opportunities available to management students in the global market and shed light on the dual degree programme for TMU students with Acacia University, Arizona, USA.
Teerthanker Mahaveer University believes that international collaboration in higher education leads to breakthroughs in knowledge, free exchange of ideas, and enduring bonds between institutions and nations. In continuation of these collaborations, Teerthanker Mahaveer University has signed an MoU with Westford Education Group, United Kingdom (UK), a leading provider of accredited international education to aspiring learners across the globe.
The live session started with the welcome of the resource person and the inaugural address of Dr Manjula Jain, Dean, Academics, TMU. She conveyed how the university is working towards providing global standard education to the students. She also motivated students to take advantage of these informative sessions. Prof. Raghuvir Singh, Hon'ble Vice-Chancellor, described the future of work which include diversity, expansion, and specialization. Later on, Dr Aditya Sharma, Registrar and Dr Vipin Jain, Director, TMIMT (Top Private Management College in UP) also shared their insightful views in the session.
Dr Bahrullah Safi has done PhD in Management and is a recipient of various awards, like Best Young Director of the Year Award, Outstanding Educators & Research Award, Excellence in Academic Award etc. During the session, he explained the primary benefit of studying business management which is necessary for equipping entrepreneurs, owners and managers with essential business skills and knowledge. He also told about the top careers in the marketing and advertising domain available for management students at different levels.
He briefed about the dual degree programme of Teerthanker Mahaveer University and Acacia University. He said that the programme is designed in a way to fulfil the demand for a skilled workforce and provides global internship & placement opportunities to students. He also motivated students to create their accounts on Linkedin to explore the job opportunities available in the global world. At last, students asked their queries during the question and answer session and got fruitful answers. The session was successfully managed by Ms Neha Anand and Dr Mohit Rastogi and ended with a vote of thanks by Prof. Dr Geetanshu Dawar, Convener, TMU-IIC.
