Sukanti Charitable Trust Organises Blood Donation Camp
To commemorate India’s Republic Day on 26th January 2025, Sukanti Charitable Trust organised a voluntary blood donation camp on 25th January 2025 at TMH & RC Blood Bank. The event aimed to raise awareness about the importance of regular blood donation and its impact on saving lives.
One Unit of Blood Can Save Three Lives
Speaking at the event, Dr Ayushoj Kumar, Blood Bank In-Charge, emphasised that one unit of blood can save up to three lives. He encouraged donors to make blood donation a regular practice, highlighting that it not only benefits recipients but also improves the donor’s overall health by reducing the risk of severe illnesses.
Appeal for Regular Blood Donation
Dr. Shyamoli Dutta, Blood Bank Officer, addressed the donors and urged them to donate blood every three months to ensure a continuous and adequate blood supply for medical emergencies.
24 Donors Contribute to the Noble Cause
A total of 24 individuals participated in the blood donation drive. Their selfless contribution was instrumental in making the event a success. The initiative was led by Dr. Arpan Rastogi, Chairman of Sukanti Charitable Trust, along with senior technical officer Rajkumar and the entire team.
Appreciation and Gratitude for Donors
Each donor was awarded a blood donation certificate as a token of appreciation for their noble gesture. Concluding the event, Mr. Ajay Garg, Director of the Hospital, expressed his heartfelt gratitude to all donors, medical professionals, and technical staff for their invaluable support in making the blood donation camp a success.
