The Felicitation Ceremony for TMMC&RC Students in Sports
The Felicitation Ceremony (Sports) for Undergraduate and Postgraduate Students of TMMC&RC held on 2nd March 2023 in Lecture Theater-I (Medical College). The Felicitation Ceremony was conducted to appreciate the effort of the students for Intercollegiate Sports Tournament held at TMU, Moradabad from 10th February 2023 to 24th February, 2023.
The Chief Guest for the events was Shri Abhishek Kapoor, Director (Administration) TMU; the event was also attended by Prof. (Dr.) Ajay Pant, Principal TMMC&RC; Prof. (Dr.) S K Jain, Vice Principal and Head of Department of Anatomy; Prof. (Dr.) V K Singh, Additional MS and Head of Department of Medicine; and Prof. (Dr.) Prithpal Singh Matreja, Chairman, Sports Committee and Head of Department of Pharmacology.
The Annual Intercollegiate Sports Tournament was held in TMU after a gap of two years. The Students of TMMC&RC did exceptionally well in the sports tournament and participated in eight sports activities like Cricket, Track & Field and Kabbadi. The Medical College was the winner of Basketball, Volleyball, Soccer and Badminton; and was runner up in Tug of War.
Dr. Matreja welcomed the dignitaries on the dais, Prof Pant Highlighted the role of Sports for the overall development, Prof V K Singh spoke about the active participation of students in extracurricular activities, Prof Jain higlighted the importance of sports for overall development. The Chief Guest , Shri Abhishek Kapoor, congratulated all the students and wished all the best for their future endeavors.
Prof. (Dr.) Seema Awasthi, Prof (Dr.) Jayballabh Kumar, Prof (Dr.) Probal Chatterjee, Prof (Dr.) Ashish Chander, Prof (Dr.) S Nagendran, Prof (Dr.) Satish Pathak, Prof (Dr.) Mazher Maqusood, Prof (Dr.) Sangeeta Kapoor, Prof (Dr.) Rohit Varshney, Prof (Dr.) Pallavi Ahluwalia, Prof (Dr.) Ashutosh Kumar, Prof (Dr.) Shruti Chandak, Prof (Dr.) Preeti Singh, Prof (Dr.) Nidhi Sharma and Prof (Dr.) Anil Kumar also attended this event.
All the students are awarded by the certificate of appreciation by faculty Members, 68 students had participated in the sports tournament.
