The Grand Celebration of TMU Convocation 2024
Teerthanker Mahaveer University (TMU), Moradabad, celebrated its Convocation 2024 with grandeur and pride, marking a significant milestone for its 2,500 graduates of the 2022–23 academic session. The event honoured 51 gold medallists, 50 silver medallists, 51 bronze medallists, and 19 scholars who were awarded PhD degrees, celebrating their exceptional accomplishments.
Key Highlights of the Convocation
The ceremony was graced by Hon’ble Shri Suresh Kumar Khanna, Uttar Pradesh’s Minister of Finance and Parliamentary Affairs, as the Chief Guest. Shri Baldev Singh Aulakh, Minister of State for Agriculture Education and Research, UP, served as the Guest of Honour. Alongside them were TMU Chancellor Shri Suresh Jain, Group Vice-Chairman Shri Manish Jain, Executive Director Shri Akshat Jain, Vice-Chancellor Prof (Dr) V.K. Jain, and other distinguished dignitaries.
Shri Suresh Kumar Khanna’s Inspiring Address
Shri Suresh Kumar Khanna presented medals and degrees to the graduates and praised TMU’s role in fostering academic excellence and societal contributions. During his address, he emphasised the importance of selfless service, urging graduates to draw inspiration from luminaries such as Mahatma Gandhi, Dr S. Radhakrishnan, and Dr APJ Abdul Kalam. Shri Khanna also praised TMU’s super-speciality hospital for its pivotal role during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Chancellor Shri Suresh Jain shared his aspirations for TMU to rank among the world’s leading universities. He reiterated the university’s focus on academic and healthcare initiatives and expressed pride in the alumni who serve as global torchbearers of knowledge.
Shri Akshat Jain congratulated the graduates and highlighted TMU’s commitment to academic excellence and societal impact. He emphasised the transformative power of education and the importance of lifelong learning. Prof V.K. Jain celebrated the graduates' achievements and inspired them to pursue excellence. His address resonated with the importance of innovation and the role of education in shaping the future.

The academic procession, led by Registrar Dr Aditya Sharma, was a spectacle of pride and tradition. Faculty members, Deans, Directors, and Professors joined the procession. Meanwhile, students showcased India’s rich cultural diversity through captivating performances and attire, adding vibrancy to the event.
A Solemn Tribute to Dr Manmohan Singh
The ceremony observed a two-minute silence to honour the legacy of former Prime Minister Dr Manmohan Singh, reflecting TMU’s respect for national leaders.
