TMU Excels in Global Heartfulness Essay Event, Secures Gold
Moradabad: Teerthanker Mahaveer University’s (TMU) Medical College & Research Centre has been honoured with the Gold Category award for its outstanding performance in the Global Heartfulness Essay Event 2024. The university has also been awarded a trophy in recognition of its achievement. This prestigious honour was granted through a certificate issued by the Commonwealth Secretary, Patricia Scotland KC, and the President of Shri Ram Chandra Mission, Padma Vibhushan Shri Kamlesh D. Patel.
TMU Medical College’s Principal, Dr. N.K. Singh stated that this international essay competition was held in India and Bhutan and drew approximately 100,000 students. Among them, 350 undergraduate and postgraduate students from TMU Medical College participated in the event. Notably, MBBS student Sankalp Srijan made a significant mark by securing the 9th position globally, bringing pride to the university.
The Teerthanker Mahaveer Medical College & Research Centre has been awarded a trophy and a Gold Category certificate for its remarkable participation. The Global Heartfulness Essay Event 2024 was jointly organised by the Heartfulness Education Trust, Shri Ram Chandra Mission, and the Commonwealth.
TMU Participated in the Second Category of the Competition
The competition was conducted in two categories, and TMU participated in the second category. The event, held in June 2024, was conducted in twelve languages, with a word limit of 750 words for the second category. The essay theme was based on a quote by renowned American healthcare activist Elizabeth Edwards:
“Resilience is accepting your new reality, even if it's less good than the one you had before.”
Following this remarkable achievement, Dr Singh met with Chancellor Shri Suresh Jain, GVC Shri Manish Jain, and Executive Director Shri Akshat Jain to share the success.
Chancellor Shri Suresh Jain lauded the achievement, stating that the Gold Category award and trophy reflect the academic excellence of TMU, as well as the dedication of its students and faculty members.
