TMU Faculty and Students Excel in National Organic Farming Training

In a commendable stride towards promoting sustainable agriculture, four students from Teerthanker Mahaveer University (TMU)Sachin Yadav, Ajharuddin, Avinash Pratap, and Ankush Kumar—actively participated in a prestigious 5-day residential Organic Farming Training Programme held in Ghaziabad from 25th to 29th March 2025.

The training was organised under the auspices of the National Centre for Organic and Natural Farming (NCONF) and the Ministry of Agriculture and Farmers’ Welfare, Government of India. The initiative served as a dynamic platform for knowledge enhancement, skill development, and the promotion of organic agricultural practices in line with the nation's goal of achieving sustainable farming systems.

Leadership by TMU Faculty Elevates Training Quality

What added further value to this significant event was the involvement of Dr. Devendra Pal Singh, Assistant Professor in the Department of Entomology at TMU and a certified WS Training Specialist. Dr. Singh played a pivotal role in guiding the sessions, delivering expert insights into modern sustainable practices and innovative techniques that are vital for organic and natural farming.

His instruction covered a range of critical themes including soil health management, composting methods, integrated pest management, and eco-friendly farming inputs, thereby enhancing the technical competence of both students and fellow participants.
