TMU Hosts ‘Open Mic Event’ to Celebrate Student Talent in Art and Literature
Moradabad, March 2025 — In an inspiring display of creativity and eloquence, the TMIMT College of Management, under the Commerce Department of Teerthanker Mahaveer University (TMU), in collaboration with Alfaaz Apne Foundation, successfully organised a vibrant ‘Open Mic Event’. The event aimed to foster creative expression, boost self-confidence, and enhance communication skills among students.
Organised under the theme “Navonmesh: New Thoughts, New Paths,” the programme offered a platform for students from Commerce and Management streams to showcase their talents in poetry, storytelling, debating, and motivational speaking. Participants presented original poems and shayari, touching on themes of inspiration, social issues, and personal experiences. Several students narrated thought-provoking stories addressing societal challenges and prevalent stereotypes, while others delivered speeches on social issues, leadership skills, and innovation.
The event attracted a large audience, with student performances receiving enthusiastic applause and appreciation, highlighting the vibrant creative spirit within the university.
Acknowledgement and Recognition
At the conclusion of the event, Ms. Abhivyakti Sinha, Founder of Alfaaz Apne Foundation, addressed the gathering, emphasising that such platforms not only nurture students' creativity but also significantly enhance their confidence and public speaking abilities. She expressed her commitment to continuing to provide such opportunities for students through Alfaaz.
Outstanding performers were honoured with certificates of appreciation and awards. Mr. Nitin Agrawal delivered the vote of thanks, Ms. Aakriti Sinha conducted the event, and Mr. Amar Saxena managed the technical arrangements.
Prominent attendees included Dr. Manoj Agrawal, Vivek Kumar, Dr. Vibhor Jain, Utkarsh Agrawal, Vani Saini, and other faculty members, alongside student volunteers such as Akshay, Anmol, and Aarish.
