TMU Inter-School Cricket Boys Championship: Shirdi Sai and Moradabad Schools Excel
The TMU Inter-School Cricket Boys Championship, organised by the College of Physical Education at Teerthanker Mahaveer University (TMU), witnessed a dynamic start with 30 teams from the Moradabad Division participating in the 12-over format competition. Professor MP Singh, Dean of Students Welfare at TMU, inaugurated the championship as the chief guest, encouraging teams and presenting appreciation tokens to coaches and managers.
Shirdi Sai Public School Leads the Way
In the opening matches, Moradabad’s Shirdi Sai Public School Bing-2 emerged victorious, defeating Silver Stone Public School, Chandausi, by a solid margin of 45 runs. Shirdi Sai Bing-2 set a challenging target of 125 runs in 12 overs, losing just one wicket. Silver Stone Public School, however, could only manage 79 runs, with Shirdi Sai’s Ayan Hussain scoring an impressive 56 runs to be named Man of the Match.
Moradabad Division Schools Showcase Talent
Other schools also showcased remarkable performances. Shri Sai Public School claimed victory over White Hall Public School, Rampur, with a close win by 3 wickets. White Hall Public School, batting first, scored 71 runs, which was chased by Shri Sai Public School in 9 overs with the loss of just one wicket. Shri Sai’s Shoaib, who took 3 wickets, was awarded Man of the Match for his stellar bowling.
In another exciting match, CNS Academy, Moradabad, defeated Green Meadows School, Moradabad, by 6 wickets. CNS’s player, Vishesh, contributed with both bat and ball, scoring 26 runs in 25 balls and taking one wicket, earning him the Man of the Match title.
Standout Performances by Moradabad Schools
Bonnie Anne Public School dominated against Dayawati Modi Academy, Rampur, securing a 9-wicket victory. Shams of Bonnie Anne scored 59 runs off 21 balls, and with two wickets from bowler Bakar Ali, the team claimed an emphatic win.
Mandi Dhanaura’s MS Public School outperformed National Public School, Moradabad, with a 46-run win, led by Chiranjit Khera’s brilliant 40 runs from 26 balls, which earned him the Man of the Match.
Universal Academy, Bijnor, defeated Aryans International School, Moradabad, by 8 wickets. Mukul Kumar’s all-round performance, including 21 runs in 23 balls and 3 wickets, earned him the Man of the Match title, closing the day with stellar performances from Moradabad division schools.
