TMU Students Visited New Delhi World Book Fair 2023
March 5, 2023, On an enriching educational journey, B.Sc.-B.Ed.(Integrated) and B.Ed. students, along with three faculty members, Dr. Vinod K Jain, Mr. Ranjeet Singh, and Dr. Arpita Tripathi, visited the New Delhi World Book Fair 2023. The visit, generously sponsored by the university, offered the students an exceptional opportunity to delve into a vast collection of books, publications, and literary exhibits.
The New Delhi World Book Fair, a prominent event in the literary calendar, was organised at the Pragati Maidan exhibition complex. With the theme " Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav," the fair brought together publishers, authors, scholars, and book enthusiasts from around the world. The B.Sc.-B.Ed.(Integrated) and B.Ed. students, accompanied by their enthusiastic faculty guides, embarked on a journey of exploration through the vibrant aisles of the fair. From academic textbooks to fiction, non- fiction, poetry, and graphic novels, the fair offered a diverse range of literary works to cater to the varied interests of the students.
As they roamed the halls, the students interacted with authors and publishers, gaining insights into the writing and publishing process. Many students expressed their gratitude for the opportunity to meet their favourite authors in person and engage in insightful discussions about their literary works. Dr Vinod K Jain, one of the accompanying faculty members, remarked, "The New Delhi World Book Fair has been an outstanding learning experience for our students. It has broadened their horizons, exposed them to diverse genres, and inspired them to cultivate a lifelong love for reading."
Mr. Ranjeet Singh, another faculty guide, also shared his thoughts on the visit, saying, "I am thrilled to witness the enthusiasm of our students in exploring the world of books. This fair has been a great platform for them to understand the importance of literature in shaping their academic and personal growth." Dr. Arpita Tripathi, the third faculty member present, emphasised the value of such events in a student's educational journey. She said, "Exposure to literature and knowledge beyond textbooks is essential for holistic development. Events like the New Delhi World Book Fair encourage students to embrace a broader perspective and kindle a passion for lifelong learning."
