Yuva Samvaad: Spirit of India 2025 - Fostering Intellectual Discourse at TMU
The Department of Physiotherapy at Teerthanker Mahaveer University (TMU) successfully hosted "Yuva Samvaad: Spirit of India 2025" on 3rd February 2025 at LT-603. This intellectually stimulating event aimed to encourage young minds to critically analyse national issues while celebrating India's rich cultural heritage.
Engaging Discussions on National Issues
The event featured parliamentary-style debates, where students tackled thought-provoking topics such as:
- One Nation, One Election
- The Role of Media in Shaping Mindsets
- India as a Global Leader in the 21st Century
Students participated as representatives of the ruling and opposition parties. Mohd. Anas, Mohd. Hamza, Suryansh, Maryam Masood, and Binish Khan formed the opposition, and Abhinandan, Anadil, Huma, Vikas, and Mohd. Toseef represented the ruling side. Their spirited arguments and counterarguments made the debate highly engaging and intellectually enriching.
Cultural Performances Showcasing India’s Heritage
Following the debates, students mesmerised the audience with cultural performances. Anika Singh, Mansi Singh, Shubhi Agarwal, Tanisha Verma, Adarsh Chauhan, Pallavi Chauhan, and Shruti Gupta performed vibrant regional folk dances, celebrating India’s diverse traditions. Vidhi Rani (BPT 4th Semester) gave a special presentation on India’s cultural heritage, adding a significant historical perspective to the event.
