TMU Organises International Seminar on ‘AI-Driven Future’
Teerthanker Mahaveer University (TMU), a leading institution known for its commitment to academic innovation, hosted an international seminar on the theme “AI-Driven Future: Revolutionising Language Learning and Teaching” on 4th April 2025. The event was organised by the Faculty of Engineering, Department of Humanities, and brought together academicians, researchers, and students from diverse fields to explore the transformative impact of Artificial Intelligence (AI) on language education.
The seminar served as a vital platform to delve into how AI technologies are reshaping the methodologies of language learning and teaching across global educational landscapes.
Distinguished Guests and Thought Leadership
The Chief Guest for the seminar was Prof. Pramod Kumar, from the Department of English, Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU), New Delhi. Prof. Kumar addressed the audience with insightful remarks on the expanding influence of AI in education, emphasising its dynamic role in enhancing the effectiveness and accessibility of language pedagogy.
The event also welcomed Ms. Arpita Agarwal, Staff Solutions Engineer at Confluent, Sydney, Australia, as the Guest of Honour. She presented on the practical applications of AI in language teaching, sharing her industry expertise on how AI-driven tools are optimising curriculum design, student engagement, and adaptive learning techniques.
