UPCOG e-conference held by TMMC&RC’s turned Successful
UPMIDTERM annual conference 2021 was hosted Online on 8th & 9th of May by the Department of obstetrics and gynaecology TMMC&RC Moradabad under the aegis of UP Chapter of Obstetrics and Gynaecology with the dynamic Organising chairperson Prof.(Dr)Rehana Najam & worthy organizing secretary Dr Astha lalwani along with workshop coordinators Dr Kanchan Rani & Dr Shubra Agarwal with the organizing team.
The theme centered “Honouring the past, Treasuring the present, Shaping the future – Menarche to Menopause,” focused on pregnancy and health issues of women highlighting the care & treatment in covid among pregnant females witnessed a massive success with the active participation of around 1800 delegates all around the country and abroad. The Academic body of obstetricics & gynaecoloy awarded 10 ICOG credit hours which is itself stamps the remarkable academic fiesta of this conference.
The conference was graced by the pristine presence of Dr. Alpesh Gandhi, President FOGSI, as the Chief Guest, and Dr. Ragini Agarwal, Vice President North Zone FOGSI, as the Guest of Honour.
Chief Patron UPCOG, Padmashree Prof Usha Sharma, Patron Prof. Meera Agnihotri, President Reena Srivastava, Prof Kirti Dubey Secretary, Dr. Bharti Maheshwari Officiating Secretory, Principal TMMC& RC Prof Shyamouli Dutta, were an integral part of the session.
The 'Pre-congress Workshops on Endoscopy,' & 'Infertility' on 8th of May was inaugurated by Dr. KrishnaKumar, Dr. Nutan Jain, Dr. Rishma Dhillon Pai and Dr. Narendra Malhotra.
The research paper and poster presentation commenced at the conference in both junior and senior categories . Out of 115 papers 25 in the junior category, 17 papers in the senior category were selected for presentation, and 25 posters were presented at the conference.
The Endoscopy workshop observed exceptional video demonstrations and lectures by Dr Narendra Malhotra,Dr Nutan Jain , Dr. Amit Tandon, Dr. Akhil Saxena &, Dr. Bhaskar Pal on various, laparoscopic surgeries for adnexal masses, uterine fibroid, and pelvic organ prolapse. The delegates witnessed, solutions to fertility enhancing hysteroscopic procedures at the hands of leading endoscopic surgeons from all over the country, including Dr. Rahul Manchanda, Dr. Neelam Ohri. The scientific program was concluded by an interesting panel discussion on Endometriosis well moderated by Dr. Niranjan Chavan & worthy panelists.
Infertility workshop included esteemed faculty from across the country, including Dr. Jaideep Malhotra, Dr. H.D. Pai, Dr. Pratik Tambe, Dr. Fessy Louis, Dr. Tarini Taneja, Dr. Ritu Khanna, Dr. Bharti Maheshwari, focusing upon ovum pickup and embryo transfer, newer management of male Infertility, dealing with the intricacies of poor ovarian reserve, recurrent implantation failure, a batch of IVF, Art of IUI, Genital Tuberculosis & Infertility.
The next day started with illustrious and exuberant scientific sessions by the National and International repute faculty covering recent updates and guidelines on almost all the clinical topics.The international speaker Prof Vibhash Misra and Dr Afshan Khaja from Royal college of obstetrics & gynaecology, London focused on urogynaecological health of elderly females and safe delivery practices.Dr Alpesh Gandhi gave his vibrant deliberation on covid vaccination for pregnant females an important aspect for optimum pregnancy outcomes with covid.
Teerthanker Mahaveer Medical College and Research center's (TMMC&RC) policy in incorporating newer medical practices for advancing professionals makes it the highest-ranking medical college in the state of Uttar Pradesh & Delhi NCR.
. Brainstorming panel discussions on a few challenging topics like Cancer cervix, Abnormal Uterine bleeding, Contraception and Adolescent health, Informative Deliberations by the legends of the field Dr. Vibhash Mishra (UK), Dr. Afshan Khaja (UK), Dr. Alka Kriplani, Dr. Anuradha Khanna with their thorough debates to solve the mysteries and controversies in the subject enlightened all. With the tremendous contribution of deliberations,guest lectures, research papers, poster presentations from the renowned international and national stalwarts ,private practitioner,faculties and post graduates of various other medical colleges in obstetrics and gynaecology was a huge success.
The valedictorian ended the program. It was an enriching experience for all participants of the medical fraternity. Dr Charu Guta Post graduate 3rd year from TMMC&RC received gold metal for her research publication.Other postgraduate students also were awarded .
